Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP PDF Stamper › stamper_download_button_for_wp_user shortcode is not functioning
When I use the wp user download button shortcode, the code just displays on my page rather than show a button. I tried the code on both a generic wordpress page and also using the Custom HTML Code Element in the latest version of OptimizePress Live Editor. This element is how I insert other shortcodes. I am on the latest version of WordPress as well (4.9.1)
I tested PDF Stamper using the manual option and it functions correctly.
Please do the following then do another test:

It will not allow me to deactivate the plugin. I get: License key deactivation failed!
License key could not be deactivated.
My original download link was still good, so I downloaded the plugin again. Is that an OK option or do I need to do the request?
I deleted the plugin without deactivating the license. Then I reinstalled using the copy I just downloaded again from my original link. Its still the same problem. I was going to try installing it on a fresh wordpress installation but I can’t do that due to the problem deactivating the license.
Here is the shortcode I’m using – its just a test PDF: [stamper_download_button_for_wp_user file_url=”https://renegadehypnotistproject.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/stamped-files/digital_photo_workflow.pdf” button_text=”Download Now”]
Also – tried deactivating all non-essential plugins. This site is very lean, so my primary concern was WordFence. Deactivating that did not fix the problem. We are using Digital Access Pass as our membership software for the site (which I cannot deactivate for testing since it breaks the site).
I will jump on your site and take a look at your setup. I have sent you an email for it.
Sent – thanks!
Looks to be an optimizepress issue. That shortcode works fine on a standard WordPress page. For some reason the shortcode rendering of standard WordPress shortcode isn’t working in the optimizepress page builder.
