MemberHi alexkir,
The photo seller search functionality will search ALL galleries/photos which are part of the photo seller system.
The search will target the following photo fields:
– photo description and alt text
– photo caption/excerpt
– photo title
– photo name
You can also manually add keywords to any of the above fields of a photo – simply go to the gallery settings for a particular gallery and scroll down to the photo list and click the edit link for a photo. That will take you to the photo edit window and you can add captions, descriptions etc.
The photo seller plugin will read only keywords/descriptions etc from EXIF and IPTC data from the photo file during upload time and it will use that (if available) as part of its search too.
Currently it doesn’t use the camera information but this info is automatically stored in the meta table by wordpress anyway (if available).
In terms of search terms the plugin will find single words or multiple words if they appear in the correct order.

MemberHi Peter!
Are there any plans to make the search facility only search a particular gallery rather than site-wide? I need it!

I will try and implement this within a few weeks.

MemberHi Peter and Naturpixel
Is this new search feature working? Is it now possible to search specific galleries rather than all images on the site?
Many thanks

MemberAlso, I need the search to provide results for specific numbers that I am adding to the photo decsription (bib numbers for racing events). However at the moment, if I search for say “2”, the results will show all photos with the number 2 included, for example 2, 20, 234 etc. How would I go about making it so that when searching for 2, only results with the number 2 are displayed?
Hope that makes sense!
Many thanks
