spoke to soon…….you still have to clear the cache in IE and Fire Fox to get the Items out of the cart if you choose not to purchase them………….
why is this happening……it has a red X to delete the Item, but it will not delete the items…you have to clear the cache and refresh on fire fox, and you have to clear the cache and restart IE
i left it set up want to look at it and try it from your endJanuary 10, 2010 at 9:36 pm #15732IvyMember
Are you using a cache plugin (e.g. Super cache)?

This used to happen when you had apostrophe (‘) in the product name. This should not happen if you are using the latest version of the plugin. Please make sure you are using the latest version from this page:January 11, 2010 at 5:59 pm #15734
taking the apostrophe out fixed it…we have the latest version i can find 2.6
But we are glad to have it working.
thanksJanuary 11, 2010 at 6:12 pm #15735
now all we need is
how do we do this
we can ship 1 to 4 boxes at a fixed shipping price of $12.00
how can a customer choose 1 to 4 boxes without raising the shipping price
on the 5th to 8th box we need another $12.00
*** can we have a blank area for customers to type in shipping cost……
we will instruct them how 1-4 ($12) 5-8 ($24) ect………..
is there anyway to do this
I have read everything I can find…….Is there any way to do this?
and if not, is there a miscellaneous box to add that a customer can add an amount in themselves for orders over 4 boxesJanuary 12, 2010 at 12:29 am #15736
I understand your requirements but unfortunately the simple shopping cart does not have this type of shipping optionJanuary 12, 2010 at 3:14 am #15737
ok we will figure the shipping thing………
PayPal says we must add their tax button to this shopping cart for in state purchases…….
how is this done?January 13, 2010 at 6:36 am #15738
No way to tax Either?January 13, 2010 at 10:46 am #15739

cannot delete Items that were put in the cart
I saw this post and your answer. I’m using the version from the download page you indicated and there is no ‘ or anything in the title of the product. I’m using the plugin successfully on another site and can’t, for the life of me, see what I’m doing different (wrong)??? It’s installed at:February 4, 2010 at 9:41 pm #15743
Just checked your site now and seems to be deleting the items fine… maybe you had quotes (“) in the product name before?
Item deletion should not be an issue anymore so if this was the case please let me know so I can investigate this.February 4, 2010 at 10:17 pm #15744inclinerMember
Wow, Amin, that’s service above and beyond the call of duty! Yes, I went back and it works fine. Before, I had the thickness of the toppers in there in (“) so I guess that was it but when I removed them it still didn’t work…today it’s working so all is fine.
Thank you!April 21, 2010 at 9:10 pm #15745
