    Hi,

I have a few pages on my blog where I do online sales. I have a sidebar widget shopping cart on those pages.

The widget works fine on all the pages except one. When I try to add something to my cart my widget says, “Your shopping cart is empty” BUT when I go to the other online shopping pages my order shows up.

    Any thoughts?

    One more realization…

When I try to buy something on any page the shopping cart stays empty until I move to another page. Then the item shows up in my cart…

Removing items from the cart does the same thing.

Sounds like the work of a caching plugin. Do you have a caching plugin installed?

If you are using the W3 Total Cache then did you should try this:

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/using-the-plugins-with-w3-total-cache-plugin

If you are using WP Super Cache then check this post:

Remember you can check the “Automatic redirection to checkout page” checkbox in the eStore’s settings menu and the plugin will redirect the customer to the checkout page after they click the add to cart button.

Caching is a good practice but you don’t really have to worry about caching too much unless you start to get a lot of traffic. I would recommend you use the W3 Total Cache plugin (its the best caching plugin at the moment). Read this post if you get time:
