shipping cost per item not adding up, quantity discounts not applied in Paypal

I have shipping set like this:

Base shipping: $3.00

Shipping on item: $2.50

With this setup, I expect that if I buy 1 item, shipping will be $5.50 and if I buy 2 items shipping will be $8.00 etc. But the shipping value passed to PayPal is always the same, $5.50 no matter how many items I put in cart. 1 or 100, it is $5.50.

Also, I have set up Coupon Code for 40% discount if you buy 10 or more, like so.

Coupon Code = 10 or more

Discount Value = 40%

Redemption Limit = infinity

Expiry (yyyy-mm-dd)= none

Active = yes

Conditions = Total Quantity is greater than 9

But no discount is calculated in Paypal cart.

The above page link that you shared only has a “Buy Now” type button. Where is your add to cart buttons?

The shopping cart specific setup is only used when you add the item to the shopping cart then checkout. This post will explain the differences:
