Hi, I´m a little confused about how the revenue is split when you have revenue sharing and affiliates with comissions
for example
Lets say I have a product that sells for $100, and I have revenue sharing enabled for 50%, and i have an affiliate which gets 10%
Its my understanding that the 10% is deducted from the total price which would mean the following
owner – $45
revenue sharer – $45
afiliate – $10
is this correct?
thanks in advance
February 8, 2011 at 2:55 am #28823IvyMemberHi, The revenue sharing with affiliate commission would work like this.
Say you have a product for $100.00 50/50 split and an affiliate for 25%.
Affiliate commission $25.00
Split $50.00/$50.00
The split does not take into account the affiliate commission.

March 9, 2011 at 10:33 pm #28825StiddyMemberHow can I change the affiliate split. Say from 50/50 to 72/25? Also let me know which is which Author/Vendor or Vendor/Author. Thanks.

It doesn’t really matter who is the author and who is the vendor. One person will get the money for the entire transaction and the other person will just get the credit in his affiliate account. It totally depends on who you want to set up. Usually the vendor setup the store so the money will go to his paypal account and the author will just get credit in his affiliate account. At the end of the month the vendor can see how much he needs to pay the author and makes the payment.

You are talking about the “Commission Level” on the Affiliate details page. I thought that was for products that don’t have a specific commission level entered. I’m now assuming it is for that as well as the commission level if they are entered as a revenue sharing affiliate for a product. Is that correct?
What if they are also the referrer to the product? Will they get the revenue share as well as the commission for linking someone over?
Example: Product specific Affiliate(for any affiliate) commission is 20%. Revenue Share for Affiliate (Affiliate is set up as 25% in their account). If the Revenue share affiliate sends someone from their site. Will they get 45% commission?
Thanks.

If Affiliate customer buys product and puts in their affiliate id will they get credited as the affiliate for the sale, or does your plugin recognize the same paypal account and not reward the affiliate commission?
Thanks.
