We have just set up eMember. We are using the dashboard to manage all memberships and don’t have a new registration/renewal page set up for a member to join or renew on his/her own.
Is it possible to enter an advance renewal for a member on the dashboard? EG – membership expires on 6/1/14 and I have received the renewal today (5/23/14). There doesn’t seem to be any way to extend the member’s term in the same membership level. Or is a registration/renewal page the only way to handle renewals efficiently.
If you, as the administrator, want to; you can manually edit the member’s expiration date. Is that what you want to do?
Well, if I could I would. But the expire date is set by the term, e.g., one year. So a subscription that started in June 2013 expires in June 2014. The membership level is “individual one year” and this is the expire date – Expiry Date 2014-06-01 – which is not an editable field. I don’t see a way of editing the expire date.
That really doesn’t help. Here’s an example: The membership started on Jan 1, 2014 and expires on Jan 1, 2015 (using a one year expiry). Member sends in a renewal on December 1, 2014. There is no way I can see to update the expire to Jan 1, 2016 on the day I receive that renewal. I have to wait until Jan 2, 2015 to process the renewal and start it on Jan 1, 2015 so that it expires on Jan 1 2016.
OK – did some more testing and, Yes, it works. Thanks for your help.
