Reminder e-mail fields are not showing the field content

I have just received a reminder from eMember that my membership was expiring in 10 days. The message body included field tokens rather than field contents as:

Hi {first_name} {last_name},

I would like to know how to make sure that the field tokens are substituted with the contents of the fields they represent. In the e-mail settings of eMember plugin the e-mail field shows:

Hi {first_name} {last_name},

Your PSRI membership will expire in 10 days.

=============

and the message is sent to the right recipient but without the first and last names being inserted into the e-mail.

Thank you. I guess there is no optional workaround this limitation.
