Tagged: Redirect Expired User
Is it possible to redirect a member who is expired to a page automatically upon login? I currently have it set to allow expired members to login, when they do it shows the alert box to renew. The problem I have is that my home page is set with different protections to display different things to different users and I get an alert box for each which looks weird. If there was a way to automatically redirect expired users to a page upon login I could send them straight to a renew page.
I will look at adding an option to auto redirect the expired users after they login.
Also I need that possibility.
There is a possibility that when the user with his expired account is identified, this is automatically redirected to a “renewal page” so that it can update and membership pay more easily ?.
We have completed adding a feature for this. You can enable this feature then specify a page to redirect the expired members to a specific page (where you tell them what to do next).
Good Morning,
I think I may have found a bug with this feature:
If I enable Allowed Expired Account Login AND Redirect Expired User, when an expired user tries to login in using the fancy login popup Style 2 the popup box just hangs with no action and no redirect. But in fact, if one ignores that and clicks on another page (say on a menu) it turns out that the user is logged in, but not redirected, and since the pop up stays up, they don’t even know they are logged in.
I have tested the same thing with the standard short code static login box, and it works fine and redirects correctly. So it appears the bug is in the pop up box.
Please advise
Thank you. I have applied a fix for this and sent you an update to test.
That’s great, thanks. However, I have not yet received an update. Did you send it via email? I have checked all my accounts and spam folders.
Thanks
John
I sent it to your [info@morganscloud.com] address. it is very likely that server is rejecting the email because it has an attachment (the plugin’s zip file).
Use the following option so you get a link instead of an attachment:
