I have 12 videos. I want the impression that one video will be released every 2 weeks for ‘video members’.
Basically, I need to setup a recurring payment that unlocks a video. For example:
Recurring Payment 1 unlocks Video 1
Recurring Payment 2 unlocks Video 2
etc…
Ideally, I would like to be able to upload all of the videos at once, and then let the plugins automatically unlock the content once the payment is made.
Can this be done with the eStore and eMember plugin (I have both)?
May 5, 2015 at 10:11 pm #69886wzpModeratorYou can use the Auto-Upgrade feature to “drip content” to members over time:

May 6, 2015 at 8:49 pm #69887mattbarryMemberThanks for the link and the documentation. I’m struggling to work out how to auto upgrade a member only if they have payed the recurring payment though. Can you please advise?
Also, if a member doesn’t pay recurring payment 3, are they still able to access video 1 and 2?
May 7, 2015 at 12:49 am #69888wzpModeratorYou can setup auto upgrade, so that previous levels can, or cannot be accessed:

If you used stacked levels, the recurring payment would be for the first level; and you’d setup auto upgrades to match the recurring cycle. If they cancel, they only get access to what they paid for.

If the user cancels the recurring payment, the plugin will deactivate that account. So you don’t have to worry about the recurring payment side of things. Make all these membership levels have the “No expiry or until cancelled” option for the subscription duration field.
May 7, 2015 at 8:08 am #69890mattbarryMemberOK, I think I get it.
“If the user cancels the recurring payment, the plugin will deactivate that account.” I do not want to deactivate the account completely if they do not continue to pay. They should still be able to access what they’ve already paid for (the first 2 payments/videos for example).
So, I should have multiple membership levels (video 1, video 2, video 3 etc), and set each one to upgrade to the next after 2 weeks. Correct?
If the user cancels the recurring payment, can the account still stay active but not upgrade?
