Greetings, having issues understand why payments are not going thru to my Paypal account. i received a couple of email which stated the following:
First email – ===== Exact Reason for This Failure =====
The transaction failed for the following reason…
Payment for this transaction is in a pending state. Funds for this transaction have not cleared yet. Product(s) will be delivered when the funds clear.
Second email – ===== Exact Reason for This Failure =====
The transaction failed for the following reason…
Payment status for this transaction is DENIED. You denied the transaction… most likely a cancellation of an eCheque.
Can someone please help me with this time sensitive issue?

In what form was the payment made?

So, are you trying to tell me the transactions in question, originated with a “real customer” and were not the result of a test transaction that you performed?
In the case of a “real customer,” it means the payment method used has some kind of issue. In the first case, “Funds for this transaction have not cleared yet,” means the payment method used by the customer requires time to clear; in the case of “Payment status for this transaction is DENIED,” it means just that… the customer’s payment method had been denied.
As the merchant; you really have no control over this.
September 6, 2016 at 10:53 pm #20515adminKeymasterYour paypal account has issues. Please contact PayPal support and ask them why the payment from your customers are not clearing immediately. When your paypal account is setup correctly the funds from the transaction should clear immediately (it shouldn’t have a “pending” or “denied” status).
July 24, 2017 at 4:37 pm #20516gbkovacsMemberSo Paypal put 1 out of 45 transactions into pending status. With a limited quantity inventory of class seats, I have someone pay, they get a receipt from Paypal but we do not get the IPN. What happens in 24hours when Paypal releases the funds and the inventory has changed because someone has purchased the last seat in the mean time? Will WP Estore reject the IPN?
July 24, 2017 at 5:25 pm #20517wzpModeratorWhat you alluding to is called a “race condition.” It has been previously addressed here:
The reasons for a pending payment are usually because something “was funny” with the buyer’s payment method. Yes, it is a form of economic bias; but “that’s life.”
Class seats are a form of physical product; I addressed that in the referenced post.

When I get these messages they don’t make sense, I think the code is wrong in email code.
Before this line the message is fine.

November 13, 2019 at 12:45 am #20519adminKeymasterThat one you posted was for the following reason:
recurring_payment_suspended_due_to_max_failed_payment
Basically that subscription charge is failing. You will always have some customers who will intentionally deactivate their cards and the subscription charge will fail. It is normal. The plugin stops any membership account (if any) for that subscription when this happens.
