I’ve successfully used the “General Protection” for pages, then selectively given access to
content based on membership level.
However, when I used the same methods for protecting posts, it didn’t work. No matter
what I did, the posts were either hidden or viewable from the public AND members. I even
tried categories, but the results were the same.
We’re using the U-Design theme. Do you know of any conflicts with this theme?
The solution was to change the posts to pages, then everything worked as expected. But,
obviously, on a site with a lot of posts, this would not be a viable solution.
I am not aware of any conflict with that theme. I would recommend you try the following first:
1) Reload a fresh copy of the plugin
