I have a profile page for members and as soon as I insert the shortcode for the member’s profile the page layout shatters.
I can’t seem to figure out where the culprit lies even using firebug.
The page is http://www.bcinstitute.com/member-profile/
March 22, 2011 at 12:38 am #30499jonahgirlMemberI have tried switching to a no sidebar layout and it is still not working..something with the shortcode is breaking the menu in my theme (Thesis 1.
March 22, 2011 at 1:24 am #30500jonahgirlMemberStill narrowing it down…I have another site that uses Thesis and the eMember plugin. That member profile page is viewing fine…
Plugins installed on troubled site.
wp eMember
WP eStore
extra shortcodes for wp estore
google sitemaps xml
WordPress Database Backup
WP-GreyBox
since it is totally killing the menu I am guessing javascript conflict.
Since it is a content protected area I have added a user account so you can see the breakage
TestUser
testpassword
login then go to
March 22, 2011 at 4:03 am #30501jonahgirlMemberLooked at another one of my sites built in Thesis site with eMember…no issues on the profile page.
March 22, 2011 at 10:20 am #30502jonahgirlMemberReverted back to older build of eMember and profile page was fine but member list was empty (which is why I had upgraded the plugin after upgrading to wp 3.1.
March 22, 2011 at 12:02 pm #30503amin007ParticipantThe profile page looks pretty odd. Did you download the build today? If you take the profile display shortcode out of the page and just leave it an empty page does the page display correctly (trying to make sure there is nothing else playing up on that page)? Did you delete the older eMember completely then upload the new version?
March 22, 2011 at 1:03 pm #30504jonahgirlMemberI have the latest build I downloaded today. If I remove the shortcode the page is normal. If I revert to an earlier build (pre-wp3.1) the page is normal but I have no member list.
Registration completion form is fine.
March 22, 2011 at 8:22 pm #30505jonahgirlMemberI also deleted the wp-eMember folder and uploaded the latest build, deactivated, reactivated and page is still broken.
March 23, 2011 at 1:24 am #30506amin007ParticipantI have sent you an email to get site access so I can check it out.

March 24, 2011 at 1:04 am #30508amin007ParticipantTurned out that the JQuery library was included in the page by the user without following the proper coding guidelines.
When you add Jquery library to WordPress you need to do it properly:

March 9, 2013 at 12:01 am #30510adminKeymasterIt looks like you have modified some code in eMember which has gone bad. Please load a fresh copy of eMember to blow way the code modification in eMember.
