Hello.
First the details:
– Pages – Package products and Individual Products
– Trying to use shortcode
So here is the issue…
I’ve installed the extra shortcode plugin with the eStore plugin and everything seemed to take. I’m using the shortcode [wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=X style=X order=X] and it’s working on two fo the four product pages I’ve created (see Virtual Boy Web Boost and Virtual Boy Traffic Products). In an effort to troubleshoot, I’ve reinstalled every eStore related plugin, erased categories and recreated them, tried adding products individually (breaks after two shortcodes), and used the [wp_eStore_category_products:category_id:X:end] shortcode (did not work all the time and when it did, doesn’t display ordering and fancy boxes). i’m out of ideas as i’ve been working on this for two days. Please help.

November 22, 2011 at 10:32 pm #38773adminKeymasterI have checked 3 of your product pages and I can see the products fine so can you please give me a link to the exact page where this shortcode is not working and exactly what shortcode you placed on that page.
If you need to customize the ordering and the style you need to use the following shortcode:
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=X style=X order=X]

Here is the shortcode I’m using…
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=5 style=2 order=1]
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=6 style=2 order=1]
November 23, 2011 at 11:24 am #38775PeterMemberHi,
I know I might be asking the obvious but have you double-checked that your products which are supposed to be linked to categories 5 and 6 have actually been configured correctly? That is, in each of the products’ eStore configuration have you set the “Product Category” to the correct values.
(This can be found in the “Additional Products Details” section)
If all is fine after checking the above, can you please follow the instructions in this link to eliminate any possibility that there might be a theme or plugin conflict:

November 23, 2011 at 1:10 pm #38776T CMemberHi Peter,
So to answer your questions…
1. I did check the appropriate boxes for the products. Just double checked them and we’re good on that.
2. I followed your advice on the theme check and activated the native wordpress theme. Everything for the eStore plugin worked. I went back the my current theme and the same errors happened. Further more, I ran the Markup test. and it came back with 127 errors and 32 warnings. Guess that is not good. >-(
3. Just to go the extra mile, I turned off plugins and the pages in question are still not working.
Any suggestions, outside of dumping this theme?
November 23, 2011 at 10:01 pm #38777PeterMemberHi T C,
My recommendation would be to get yourself another theme – something which is considered “premium” and less likely to have problems. Unfortunately there are a lot of themes out there which are not written very well and hence cause issues such as this.
Alternatively, you could spend some time trying to fix your current theme, but by the sounds of the number of errors that might be a headache.
November 24, 2011 at 6:04 pm #38778T CMemberThanks. I hate to have to spend cash again on another theme. I think I have a work around but I may just dump this. Thanks to you and the team for your help.
February 18, 2013 at 6:45 pm #38779jnfrandMemberI am sorry to post here…I can NOT find where to start a new post.
So, I have the U-design theme.
Your plugin works beautifully until I ad a thumbnail URL. Adding this URL makes everything disappear.
Example:
*The box is visible. It says what I have for sale. It says $8.00. It has a description. It has NO image.
**I go to the the WP e-store, edit my product by adding the image URL in the “Additional Product Details”.
***I update the product, go to my product page and Poof…everything is gone. I have an empty page.
What could be causing this? Please help me.
Thanks!
