I’ve got a problem with wp-estore/Paypal for recurring subscriptions. When a subscriber cancels a subscription it is still showing active in E-store and sends out the confirmation email which can be confusing. Any ideas why this might not be cancelling the subscription in E-store ?

Hi formbet, Cancelling subscription doesn’t mean that it will unsubscribe the user instantly. Say, a customer subscribed on 10th of June for a monthly subscription and cancelled his/her subscription on 20th of June. The subscription will be valid until 10th of July even if he/she has cancelled the subscription.

Sorry I’m not sure which version I have, how would I find out ? Yes, the problem for example is that if someone has a monthly sub and they paid on the 10th June and cancelled on say the 7th July before the next monthly sub is due an email is still sent out saying their subscription payment has gone through on the 10th July. It’s confusing to the customer and myself Just would like to get it cleared up as I’m looking to get the wp affiliate plugin and want to make sure I don’t have any issues before installing another product.

Hi Dave, You can find the version in the plugin in the “Settings Menu” of the eStore or the “Plugins Menu”. Once the member unsubscribed via PayPal will send the eStore notification that the subscription has been cancelled I believe you just need an update and this should fix the issue you are having. There have been many fixes and features added since 2.4.5. If you are still having this problem after the update please let me know and we will take a look at your site.
