Post excerpt in protected category

I set protection for a category in my site but in the home page of this category the excerpts are visible only to members with correct Id. I noticed the wpEmember take this data from field post_excerpt but i want to display the first words of the content as in the un protected categories. How can i do that? Thanks

Are you using the more tag protection feature? What version of eMember are you using? Can you please post a link to this category page so I can see how it is being displayed?
