Last night I purchased WP eStore, Affiliate and Membership.
When I try to install eStore (I started with this option), I get errors on installation. The errors differ on the installation I have, so I created a brand new installation for wordpress with no content, additional plugins etc… and I receive the following error. I am concerned about continuing a full site with these types of errors. Thank you
The plugin generated 225 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
October 10, 2013 at 2:16 am #58276PeterMemberIs your installation a localhost one, ie, using XAMPP or something similar?
If this is the case, then the “225 characters of unexpected output” can occur when activating the plugin on localhost due to things like the fact that your localhost will not have the “cURL” functionality.
The above error should not occur for a regular hosted installation.
Or are you running WordPress under debug more by settings WP_DEBUG config to true?
Can you add products via the product addition interface? If you can then you can ignore that warning.
September 1, 2015 at 12:10 am #58277uniqoMemberI installed the plugin on dev and moved the site to production server but images would not show. So I deleted the plugin and tried installing again but it fails. I even deleted the database tables same issue…
Unpacking the package…
The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
Please help!!!

September 1, 2015 at 1:17 am #58279adminKeymasterThat same package installs on your localhost but not on your other site? That tells me that your site maybe running out of storage space. Which is why the zip file is failing to extract. Please check that with your hosting provider.
Also, have you re-downloaded a fresh copy of the plugin?

February 15, 2016 at 4:01 pm #58280Bob WardMemberI just received this message when installing eMember to a shared hosting server…
The plugin generated 204 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
Anything I should do? Or just continue on?
February 15, 2016 at 5:14 pm #58281wzpModeratorHow were you installing it? The recommended procedure is to use an FTP client, like FileZilla, to upload the unzipped plugin folder to the plugin directory on your server. Don’t forget to use the Binary Transfer option!
February 15, 2016 at 6:01 pm #58282Bob WardMemberI followed the WP eMember Installation & Upgrade Instructions…
Fresh Plugin Installation
Go to the Add New plugins screen in your WordPress admin area
Click the Upload Plugin button
Browse for the plugin file (wp-eMember.zip)
Click Install Now and then activate the plugin
February 15, 2016 at 8:48 pm #58283wzpModeratorDoes the error occur during the upload (installation) process, or when you try to activate the plugin?
If the error occurs when uploading (installing) the plugin, try using an FTP client, like FileZilla, to upload/install the plugin.
February 15, 2016 at 10:26 pm #58284adminKeymasterDeactivate the plugin then re-activate it again. Do you still see that same error after that? Does the plugin activate or it stays in an “inactive” state?
February 15, 2016 at 10:36 pm #58285Bob WardMemberThe plugin uploaded fine. I received the “204 characters” message upon activation. I’ve just started setting up my membership levels, with no errors yet, so maybe I’ll be okay. Unless you think I’ll have issues somewhere down the line given this message…?
February 15, 2016 at 10:42 pm #58286adminKeymasterIf the plugin is active then you should be fine. However, it is a good idea to just de-activate it and re-activate it one more time just to be sure.
