Hi there,
I’d appreciate it if you could explain some settings as I’ve obviously got them set incorrectly as the tax is somehow being added on twice.
Overview:
site based in New Zealand.
Tax rate set at Flat rate of 15%.
Shipping set at 0.
selling a physical product, with price set ex. tax, BUT to show including tax.
Recent problem:
purchase of x1 book price = NZ$58 (inc tax), paid by direct bank transfer, NOT via PayPal.
Order shows:
price NZ$50.44
sub-total NZ$58 (which is inc. of the tax)
tax NZ$7.57
shipping NZ$0
TOTAL NZ$65.57!!!
So it’s added in an extra tax of $7.57.
I’m totally stumped and would appreciate your help.
Many thanks, j

In my PRODUCT settings I had Yes to shipping.
So I’ve tried a few changes in my product settings and found that when I change shipping to NO for the product (so now the same as my global shipping settings) it removes ALL tax, so now the product is sold for a total of NZ$50.44!!
I realise I need to update my WP and your plugin (currently using Plugin Version: 2.1.5 & WP Version: 4.5.3) but is there anything obvious I’m missing here?
Thanks.
February 8, 2017 at 1:34 am #75122PeterMemberCan you please firstly grab a fresh version of the photo seller plugin and try again and then let us know if the problem persists and we’ll take it from there.

February 10, 2017 at 2:16 am #75123photo-5SpectatorOK, I’ve updated everything and the problem remains – though this time the price remains the same whether I set it to No Shipping in the product, or even to No tax in the product! – it always remains exactly the same, showing it with the tax added and then adds it again afterwards, so double tax.
Any ideas?
Thanks, j
February 12, 2017 at 1:47 am #75124PeterMemberWhen you say the “order shows” do mean the order AFTER the customer has made the purchase or does this double-tax occur in the shopping cart page which shows the cart summary and totals BEFORE they have made the purchase?
February 16, 2017 at 9:54 pm #75125photo-5SpectatorThe double tax shows in the shopping cart page and the invoice after purchase.
February 20, 2017 at 5:31 am #75126photo-5SpectatorHi there,
Any ideas please? Or would it be easier if I set up admin login for you to check it out?
Thanks, j

May 8, 2017 at 7:04 pm #75128JeffenyMemberHi,
I have the same double tax issue with:
Plugin Version: 2.2.0
WP Version: 4.7.4
The Tax is added in the subtotal and the same amount is added extra between the subtotal and the total.
The extra tax is not added in the shopping cart but in de order (after submit).
Best regards,
Jeffeny
May 8, 2017 at 7:16 pm #75129JeffenyMemberWhen I uncheck “Check this if you want the prices to be automatically displayed with tax included”. the total amount including tax is correct but the prices are display excluding tax for the customer.
May 9, 2017 at 12:54 am #75130PeterMemberHi all,
Yes there is a slight bug with that setting and I am still looking into this.
In meantime I recommend as a workaround that people leave the following checkbox disabled in the tax settings:
“Display Prices With Tax Included”
