Hey guys!
I purchased the PDF Stamper plugin but I’m not sure where the best place to store the PDF would be so that links can’t be shared around after purchase, yet still cause no trouble for the stamper.
The standard WordPress upload doesn’t seem like a great option and after chatting to their support it didn’t seem like they had any concrete answers.
I opened an Amazon S3 account but I’m not entirely sure how that works etc.
Sorry if this is a repeat and basic, I’ve had a look through the forums but struggling to find clear info on this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

January 15, 2019 at 12:07 pm #79064thinmeMemberThanks for the help.
I fixed that, but after a customer purchases, there’s a button to download and it takes them to plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/stamped-files URL, which can be shared.
How would I go about fixing that?
I really appreciate the assistance
January 15, 2019 at 9:16 pm #79065wzpModeratorYou might consider using eStore as a front-end to the PDF Stamper.
When eStore calls PDF Stamper, the link that is returned to the buyer is encrypted AND can be given an either a download AND/OR time expiry.
January 17, 2019 at 1:45 am #79066adminKeymasterThe PDF stamper also has the following feature that you can use to regularly delete those temporary stamped files.
Go to the “Manage Stamped Files” menu of the plugin. Then enable the following option
Automatically Delete all stamped files older than
You can use a value like 3 days so it deletes anything older than 3 days regularly.
July 10, 2019 at 1:03 pm #79067servtechMemberhello,
Is WP PDF Stamper compatible with your new plugin stripe payement please ? I use wp-emember with stripe and want to sell pdf too. Your doc actually doesn’t talk about this issue ?
Thank you
July 11, 2019 at 4:12 am #79068wzpModerator- If you are “selling” stamped PDF, and only want to use the payment methods built into PDF Stamper; only PayPal and ClickBank are supported.
- If you use the WP eStore plugin, you can sell the stamped files through eStore; using the supported payment methods.
- You can also integrate PDF Stamper with WooCommerce.

July 11, 2019 at 4:57 am #79069adminKeymasterIf you are using the following PDF stamper integration with emember (to offer stamped PDF download to members), then that should work fine with our Stripe payments plugin also:

I’m a beginner.
I do not understand:
– who and where is the encrypted download link sent to the customer? Currently the customer downloads the file from the woocommerce download page and after checkout.
– do I have to use a special folder or Amazon S3 to use the e-store?
– I update my files very frequently, do I have to replace them in the product field or in the special folder? Will the customer receive the updated file?Thank you
September 28, 2020 at 2:44 pm #81590wzpModerator– do I have to use a special folder or Amazon S3 to use the e-store?
PDF Stamper only works with locally stored files. The unstamped original files should be stored in a folder, located outside the WordPress directory; in order to secure them better.
– I update my files very frequently, do I have to replace them in the product field or in the special folder?
If the new unstamped files have the same name; just overwrite the old ones.
Will the customer receive the updated file?
Nope, they must redownload a new stamped copy. And the links in the “previous purchases” list, all point to stamped copies of the older file.

The link to the stamped file is always emailed, AFTER eStore receives and verifies the PayPal IPN. You can optionally, also display the download link on the Thank You page, but if the buyer gets to the Thank You page, BEFORE PayPal has a chance to send the IPN, no link will be displayed. This condition occurs 30% of the time, has mostly to do with congestion on the Internet, and is outside of your control. That’s why the links are always emailed.
September 28, 2020 at 7:06 pm #81592adminKeymasterIf you are using WooCommerce already, then you shouldn’t need to use WP eStore. You only need to do the following to make a WooCommece product for the PDF file:
That PDF file will get stamped when the customer clicks on the download link sent by woocommerce (after a transaction).
September 29, 2020 at 12:28 am #81593squilibParticipantThank you for your reply Mr WZP,
so, going back to your reply to thinme #79065, these are the words of thinme:
“I fixed that, but after a customer purchases, there’s a button to download and it takes them to plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/stamped-files URL, which can be shared.”In my case, if I continue using Woocommerce, do you confirm that the customer will receive an email with the link to the pattern AND the customer can click on the download button on the receipt page and this button will open the file in a page with a SHAREABLE link?
Thank you
September 29, 2020 at 4:17 pm #81600wzpModeratorThe link will be sharable, but will always point to the stamped copy of the file. You can deal with this by stamping the pages with something like “Sold to <name of purchaser> at <their phone number>. If you are not them, please report to reward@example.com”
Remember, it’s a download link. Once the file is downloaded, the file can be freely shared, anyways. Stamping the file with personal information is a better solution.
Also, you should periodically clear of the cache of stamped files, maybe every other month or so. That will invalidate any links that are “out in the wild.”
- If you are “selling” stamped PDF, and only want to use the payment methods built into PDF Stamper; only PayPal and ClickBank are supported.
