Hi all,
I need to pay my affiliates.
1. The mass pay option in paypal appears to be deprecated. There is something new called payouts. See the below link for details.
https://developer.paypal.com/docs/payouts/integrate/prerequisites/
2. I have already asked about automating commission payments in a separate thread. I get the anti-fraud argument. The problem for me is that paypal deposits money into my bank and to pay my affiliate, I have had to make a separate transaction on my credit card. This is going to get expensive quickly due to paypal fees. Moreover, PayPal expects me to maintain a balance. I would rather do this with the money I earn from sales. Yes, this is more of a Paypal query but I am asking in the context of using WP affiliate and WP eStore.
My problem is a shade different since the whole mass pay system appears to have changed or as is more likely, this is my inexperience talking.
Anyone any thoughts?
Pranav
Hi, Mass pay isn’t deprecated. That one is a good way to make payments to a bunch of users with cheaper fees. You just have to contact PayPal and ask them to enable Mass pay for your PayPal account. I think they want you to call them to enable it (just to make sure you will not be mis-using it).
