Photo Seller – Paypal issue / thumbnail watermark

Hi,

We are having an issue with processing payments. I have inputted our PayPal email into the system but when I try and go through to test it I can add an image to the cart and go through the checkout process fine, till it comes to payment. Paypal loads up as normal but when I try and login to pay for the product it repeatedly says login details are incorrect. This has happened with all our test purchases, on separate machines so far. I can login to my Paypal separately so not sure why it’s refusing to through Wp Photo Seller. Any help would be appreciated.

Also can you guys let me know if there are any plans afoot to implement the option to watermark thumbnails. Our photographers are not allowing us to upload certain photos unless the thumbnails can be watermarked.

Are you trying to pay with the same paypal account which you have configured to be the “seller”?

As a feature, watermarking thumbnails is not in the official plans.

Having said that, if you are interested I can do a custom job for you. (Just let me know and I can send you an email to discuss further)

Thanks for the reply. No i’m trying to pay with a different account. It could be a simple c**k up on my part but I’ve gone over it a couple of times and I can’t see anything obvious I’m missing.

The watermarking feature would definitely be of interest. I wonder if you could send me an email regarding it?

Hi Peter, thanks. I do appear to have one or two issues receiving emails from your side of things (struggled to sign up to the forums) so if you don’t receive an immediate reply to your email I would assume I haven’t received it!

Hi,

I made a test purchase which was somewhat successful but there is one thing I observed related to your paypal and photo seller configuration which you will need to correct.

I noticed that whilst in the paypal screen I was never automatically redirected back to your site. This means your configuration is not quite right.

you are using the sandbox for now you will need set the following Paypal configuration in your sandbox seller account.

When you switch to live you will need to make sure you do the same configuration for the live paypal seller account. (note: the PDT and email will probably be different when you are entering them in the photo seller settings)

Log into your paypal seller account and check the following settings:

1) “Auto Return” (this should be enabled)

2) “Payment Data Transfer” (this should be enabled)

3) “Instant Payment Notification (IPN)” (this should be enabled).

4) UTF-8 formatting enabled as per https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/some-characters-and-text-not-recognizable-in-the-notification-email

Photo seller side:

1) In Payment Gateway Settings make sure you have entered your paypal email and also the correct PDT identity token.
