Hi,
When I click on the checkout button from the sidebar on my website (GuttaGang.com) the page automatically redirects, but gets to PayPal and I get “ERROR DETECTED – Your shopping cart is empty. I am currently using Version v3.4.1. I’ve checked the things I know to check, but still no luck…please help
Thanks,
James
June 16, 2010 at 10:43 am #21810IvyMemberThis sounds like a PHP session issue. You will need to contact your hosting provider to fix this issue. They will need to check that the PHP session is turned on and configured properly. This should only take them a few minutes to do.
June 16, 2010 at 2:53 pm #21811jafijoMemberHello Ivy,
Spoke w/PayPal they stated the email address being sent to them from the checkout button was incorrect – so, instead of using the email for the PayPal account I entered my merchant id. That did not work. I contacted Godaddy as well, and they stated everything was functioning and turned on. I am at a loss…assistance please.
Thanks,
James
ps thanks for your prompt response to my first post
June 17, 2010 at 12:39 am #21812IvyMemberHi, Can you please send me a link to your product page so I can take a look at this. Also check your PayPal email make sure there is no space before or after the address.
June 17, 2010 at 3:47 am #21813jafijoMemberHey Ivy,
I’ve checked to make sure there isn’t a space before or behind my “Secure Merchant ID” – my product page is guttagang.com/store
Thanks again,
James

1. Share the exact shortcode that you are using on your store page
2. Then let me know the product ID of the product named (you can find the product ID ):
“the 24Hour Bang Out” – Tokyo King & East-35
June 17, 2010 at 4:32 am #21815jafijoMemberIvy,
I do not think that is the problem. No matter what shortcode I use I receive the same error.
1. [wp_eStore_fancy:product_id:26:end]
2. 26
Thanks,
James
June 17, 2010 at 7:10 am #21816amin007ParticipantI think the quotations (“) in the product name is causing the issue. What version of the eStore plugin are you using?
June 17, 2010 at 12:16 pm #21817jafijoMemberAmin,
You were correct. I removed the quotations, clicked check out, and completed the transaction. Thank you all for hanging in there with me. Your plug-in is ingenious yet user friendly. I am currently running Version v3.4.1 – hopefully this is the latest if not, how dow I get the latest version?
Thanks again,
James
quick question: Is there a way to do a fancy “Download Now” shortcode to put on my store page as I have free content to give away?
June 17, 2010 at 11:54 pm #21818IvyMemberHi James, The current version of eStore is 3.6.5 updating should fix the (“)issue you are having. You can read more about how updates happen here:
As for the fancy download option yes there is a fancy option. You can find all the shortcodes for the eStore here:

If you are having PHP session issues, only your hosting provider can solve the problem.
