    I read this page and searched more but I still find it vague…

    With option A at that link, does the user still have to cancel their 1st paypal subscription over at paypal? Or is that somehow magically taken into account?

    If all levels/plans/memberships are based on a monthly subscription. What happens if the member decides to upgrade after just 2 weeks? Is he given credit somehow for the unused 2 week of the lower membership? Is prorating done somehow?

    For example if Level 1 is $10/month and after 2 weeks the member upgrades to level 2 at $20/month is he at all credited for the unused $5 half of the month from his Level 1 payment?

    With this upgrade shortcode…

    Does this charge the difference or the full next level price?

    Does it auto cancel their previous Level subscription?

    I feel it is very important to under how this is all handled.

    Any information you can provide to clarify how the upgrade process works would be helpful.

    – The user will still need to cancel the first subscription from their PayPal account.

    If all levels/plans/memberships are based on a monthly subscription. What happens if the member decides to upgrade after just 2 weeks? Is he given credit somehow for the unused 2 week of the lower membership? Is prorating done somehow?

    – the user doesn’t get any credit because it’s likely that the upgraded membership level will also give them access to the lower membership level content (which is why it’s called upgrade).

    Does this charge the difference or the full next level price?

    – It charges the full amount for that membership level

    Does it auto cancel their previous Level subscription?

    – A subscription cannot get auto cancelled. It will only stop if the user cancels it from their PayPal account.
