When I try to checkout using a credit card it hits the “If you are not automatically redirected to the payment page within 5 seconds…” message and it hangs:
In the wp_pg_debug.log I get htis:
[10/20/2014 3:56 PM] – SUCCESS :submitting data to paypal advanced
When I log into Paypal and view IPN history…nothing
any ideas here?
THANKS!!!!October 21, 2014 at 12:07 am #66243
more info…. Paypal checkout works fine, have verified this via debug logs and Paypal history. I am not seeing anything at Paypal when I try the CC checkout.
Is the log entry “SUCCESS :submitting data to paypal advanced” generated when the packet is sent, or on confirmation from Paypal?
Thanks again!!October 21, 2014 at 12:24 am #66244
Hi, please provide a link to the page where I can add a product to the shopping cart and test the checkout process.October 21, 2014 at 12:35 am #66245

Thanks. Do you have the “Fancy Redirection On Checkout” option enabled in the eStore settings? If so please disable that option and see how it goes.October 21, 2014 at 4:06 pm #66247
it was enabled, I have disabled it, cleared cache, but I get the same spinning circle and hanging redirect screen.
Are the settings for eStore saved to a hard config file or stored in the database?October 21, 2014 at 4:41 pm #66248
while the redirect page hangs, my console shows:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CACHE_MISS

That looks like a Chrome browser error…October 21, 2014 at 10:49 pm #66250
@Rhubarb, we will need to take a closer look at your site to see what is happening. I have sent an email to your registered email address for site access. Let me know if you don’t receive it.October 21, 2014 at 11:15 pm #66251
@wzp correct, using Chrome, but checkout is failing consistently in Firefox and Safari as well

I use eStore with Payment Gateway Bundle addon, with the PayPal Advanced setting in the gateway bundle (the PayPal gateway in eStore is disabled).
The PayPal Pay Now option goes through OK. The Credit or Debit Card option does not. It hangs up each time and redirects to the error page on my site.
The PayPal Advanced Integration technician claims it is an issue on the cart side (eStore), and not PayPal – perhaps a missing step collecting the billing address info prior to reaching the PayPal checkout page, thus not enabling the processing of CC checkout… Seems odd, yet it is a “hang it up” loop that never progresses beyond this point.
Is there indeed a missed step, some additional setting required? What causes this repeated failure in processing?
Using WordPress 4.0, site – a child theme of Genesis framework v2.1.2, eStore v7.1.6. Payment Gateway Bundle v1.9.7.
(Site is currently down for upgrades, but was tested live repeatedly regarding the above issue. Can give access to support technician by direct email if it helps resolving the issue).
Thank you for your valuable help here.November 14, 2014 at 10:51 pm #66253
@Yoram, Please provide a link to the page where I can add a product to the shopping cart and test the checkout process.
Have you enabled debug in the eStore plugin and payment gateway bundle addon?
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-and-when-to-enable-debug-and-what-does-it-doNovember 14, 2014 at 11:55 pm #66254YoramMember
Thank you for your quick response.
Yes, I have enabled debug both on my eStore plugin and my Gateway Bundle addon. They do work.
Better yet, I have since made some further changes in my PayPal Manager’s settings of the billing information (trying something different from what their integration technician suggested) and go figure, it works perfectly now – credit card payments go through smoothly!
Turned out the issue was on PayPal’s end after all, sometimes just improvising and trying it out ends up in the solution zone…
Being a novice in all this, it can get a bit overwhelming when you hit a wall, but not far behind it – exciting when you hit an open door
Thank you again. Your fast responses never cease to amaze me. Very appreciated!
