PayPal not cmmunicating with eStore

    Hello

    I found a post similar to this and T and T said it was a bug that needed to be fixed. Not sure if this is the same. I have a free and premium membership. See it here:

    I have watched the videos and searhed for a mistake.

    Two trials showed the same thing- click on Add to Cart button (from EStore) and it goes to PayPal, he pays, he goes back to his email and it says thank you and directs him with a link to register. He registers, but makes him a free membership. eMember does not know that he paid PayPal and should be on a premium membership and therefore all premium content is blocked.

    It says at the top of plugins:

    WP eStore Settings v 7.0.3

    WP eMembers – Dashboard v8.7.9

    I am on WP version right before 3.8.1

    The level id is 9 in eMember for the Premium Membership, but the product ID is 27 (the Premium Membership is a product in the estore)

    Any clue if it is me or a bug?

    Currently we have no outstanding bug there.

    First, I am going to recommend you to do the following:

    Next, could you please enable/reset the eStore debug logs and then run a test? Then post the contents of the following 3 log files:

    ipn_handle_debug.log

    eStore_post_payment_debug.log

    subscription_handle_debug.log

    Ok I deactivated and deleted both estore and ememeber- I did the manual request for the reinstall. Do you know when I will get the links- do I get them in my email?

    The manual request for “fresh links” take about 24 hours. If you did the automatic update request, it is almost instantaneous. In both cases, the links will be sent to the original email used to purchase the plugins.

    I can’t get the contents of the log files. I did what the video said, and saved the link to my desktop but when I open it it says:

    [03/18/2014 11:21 PM] – Advisory : Log file reset.

    No other info- no success, etc.

    Now when someone tries to subscribe, emember doesn’t know whether is is a free or premium membership. Before it gave a free one after the paypal payment.

    Now,after redirect, the email goes to the person asking them to register and they are directed to the registration page. He registers, then it says he has no access, and on my dashboard, he is in my members list, but with no level.

    What can I do to get the contents of the log files? thanks

    That means something has changed on your website that is preventing PayPal from communicating with eStore or your have changed settings in your PayPal account and turned off the IPN feature.
