Page per product – will that slow WP

I have been updating my music site so that each song/eStore product has it’s own page. That way it’s easy for someone to link back to the song from the cart.

I have about 300 pages so far and probably will have about 5-600. I have noticed today that the site is very slow. Could this be down to the number of pages I am adding do you think?

No other plugins added and I’ve checked it on 2 different computers on different broadband services. It just seems to hang for a few seconds whereas before pages would load smartly.

Hi thanks, but yes have that one installed and have checked the settings on the forum here.

I’m just hoping there’s nothing wrong with having around 500 products and pages associated with them?
