Hi
I am creating galleries and to be honest the random way that thumbnails are shown in the store is very unsightly…see http://www.clayton-images.com/photogallery/gallery8/ for example – there seem to be large spaces in between images and some practically on top of each other in other parts of the gallery – is there no way to physically shift things around much as you can in the portfolio section of WordPress?

I wonder if the theme or something else is causing this.
You are using template 3 and this template is based on 150×150 thumbs. The plugin will try and create the required thumbs if they aren’t already there but in your case the thumbs are all different sizes which means for some reason it wasn’t able to.
Firstly can you please grab the latest version of the plugin:

Then after you’ve installed the fresh version, enable debug from the settings menu and create a brand new gallery using some of those photos or something similar.
Then let us know after you’ve done that and we will have a look to see what’s going on.
