I received 8 orders today. 2 of them showed up in the Order Management area as expected. 6 of them (all for the same product) do not appear in the Order Management area. I had to go into the Customer Management area and search for the product ID to find these orders.
The 6 that did not appear in the Order Management area were for the same product which has been created recently. The other 2 orders were for older products. Paypal is our payment gateway. The only thing different for this new product which is not showing up in Order Management is that it has a variation, none of our older products do. But still, it is an order it should show up in Order Management.
Why are these orders for the new product not appearing in the Order Management area and how can I fix that so they do appear in the Order Management area?
September 28, 2022 at 5:12 pm #84634wzpModeratorIs this related to your other support request?
Please turn on the debug logs, and determine if anything “different” occurs when processing the products.
September 28, 2022 at 9:24 pm #84676kezParticipantYes, that is mine. I posted it then couldn’t find it and thought it had disappeared. It’s the same issue. I thought the post for the first one had disappeared, so I created the 2nd one.
The debug logs have been on.
September 28, 2022 at 10:01 pm #84681kezParticipantSince I cannot edit my previous post let me point out a mistake in what I said and clarify regarding it being related to my other post.
Scratch the first paragraph of my previous post, instead here is clarification.
The two issues are both happening to the same product. So, same product. Two different issues.
September 29, 2022 at 12:41 am #84683adminKeymasterWhich version of the order management addon are you currently using?
Which version of PHP is your server using?
Are you using the variation configuration addon? If you are then can you please temporarily deactivate that addon then do a test and let me know if the result is the same or different?
Also, please share the content of the log file so I can take a look at it see if the processing is getting stuck somewhere. You can also use the contact option on the site to get in touch (if you want to share the log file privately).
September 29, 2022 at 4:04 am #84686Carl FrenchSpectatorI had similar issues.
Regarding PHP versions.
It appears that WPeStore (and the receipt add on in particular) doesn’t currently support PHO 8.0. I reverted to PHP 7.4 and most of the issues disappeared.
When will 8.0 be supported?September 29, 2022 at 11:24 pm #84690adminKeymasterWP eStore is PHP8 compatible. Some of the addons may not be fully compatible yet. I just need to see which addon and which function of the addon is causing an issue with PHP8 and I will sort it out.
Can you please load a fresh copy of the eStore plugin:
Also, load a fresh copy of the Order Management addon by downloading it from here:
September 30, 2022 at 11:17 pm #84695kezParticipantAdmin:
Order Management Version 2.8
PHP version 7.4.30
Using the eStore Variations UI AddonTesting is going to be hard since this is live and people are buying it and I would want to lower the price to test.
Which log file do you want to see? There are several listed in the debug area.
October 1, 2022 at 4:47 pm #84698kezParticipantAdmin – I had to get the transaction details from someone else, so I have now submitted the automatic update form and am waiting for the email with the links to be forwarded to me.
Can you also please take a look at my other post about another issue I’m also seeing with this same product? I have not received much help with that issue and as the number of sales grow this is going to become a bigger and bigger problem for me to clean up to get the correct number of sales. Here is the link:
Again, let me know log file do you want to see. There are several listed in the debug area.
October 2, 2022 at 9:03 pm #84705kezParticipant@Admin I have updated the eStore plugin, Order Management add-on, and the Voucher plugin (just because it came with the automatic update email for the eStore plugin). The orders are still not showing up in the Order Management area, but the sales count/inventory on the product correctly incremented for the 2 sales we had today. Previously the sales count showed more sales than the actual number of orders we had. It’s hard to tell with just 2 orders, because I’m not sure what was triggering the sales count to increment beyond the number of orders. But so far it’s been accurate. I’m keeping track of this to see if it’s actually fixed or not.
October 2, 2022 at 11:13 pm #84707kezParticipant@Admin Update: it now seems that what might be happening is that the sales count is accurate, but the Customer Management system is not recording all of the orders. This is a really big problem for us!
I have evidence of one sale where this is definitely the case. I’m waiting to hear back from the person managing the Paypal account to find out if the same thing explains the discrepancy between the 2 numbers. if that’s the case then 1/3 of our orders are not showing up in the Customer Management system.
October 3, 2022 at 8:21 pm #84710kezParticipant@Admin I have gotten the number of sales from Paypal now and the Sales count on the product itself (in the Product Management area) is correct. The eStore plugin is not recording some of the sales. Obviously this is a huge problem for an event where we need to have all orders in a list for the day of the event as people arrive.
I am fairly sure that is what is happening is that the eStore is not recording the orders where the purchaser chose a quantity greater than 1. For example if they bought two tickets. I have 1 confirmed case of exactly this, and I suspect this will be true for all cases where the eStore did not record the order. I am waiting for confirmation from the person who manages the Paypal account.
I have changed the product setting to not show the quantity field for in the product listing. But they can still update the quantity on the sales page, and if they add the product to their cart more than once the quantity field in the cart will increase anyway, so I don’t think this is necessarily a solution. I will have to wait for more sales to come through.
I would really like some support on this issue. So far I have not received solutions to either of the 2 issues I have posted.
October 3, 2022 at 8:46 pm #84712adminKeymasterThere is some kind of conflict on this site or a database corruption that has happened. I am going to send you an email so I can get some private details so I can provide help.
