Hi – great plugin, many thanks!

I am trying to get the Paypal payment page to open in a new window with Fancy Redirection on Checkout enabled.

I need it to do this when clicking on the Buy Now with Paypal type button (Shopping Cart /Checkout), not Add to Cart or anything.

I saw this post from 4 years ago:

and applied both these edits but it didn’t work from me I’m afraid.

Apologies if this has been requested since then.

    Regards

    Gary Williams

Hi Gary, We have a new feature now that lets you do this easily. Check the following feature:

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/estore-how-to-use-a-text-link-to-accommodate-the-purchase-of-a-product

You can easily create a link using the “target” parameter and open that in a new tab/window.

I’ve tried using a link instead of the shortcode but when clicked it just goes to the home page of the blog rather than Paypal.

    Any ideas?

    1. Did you install the eStore “Extra Shortcodes?”

      http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-shortcodes-and-functions-reference-460

    2. What do you have for the link?
    3. Do you have a shopping cart shortcode on the page that is specifed in the link?

    Try doing the following:

    1) Create a page called “Checkout” (you can call it anything really). Lets assume the URL of this page is: yourdomain.com/checkout

    2) Put the shopping cart shortcode [wp_eStore_cart] on that page.

    3) Now, on your landing page, you will have a button/link that uses the following as the target URL (you will need to replace some parameters with actual values):

    yourdomain.com/checkout/?wp_eStore_add_to_cart=1

I was also hoping there would be an easy way to have the Paypal Checkout Button to open in a new window?

Is there a simple way to do this?

I have added a new feature for this. So you can now go to the advanced settings of the plugin and enable the “Open Checkout in a New Window” option. I have sent you an update via email.

I am looking for the “Open Checkout in a new Window” setting in Advanced Settings but am not finding it. Please tell where to find it.

I just updated the eStore plugin for you so you should see this in the following interface.

WP eStore -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Open Checkout in a New Window

Hello, I have version 8.05 of WP estore and I do not see the option either:

WP eStore -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Open Checkout in a New Window.

    Thanks

It should definitely be there. Try loading a fresh new copy of the plugin:

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins

You searched for the following field in the “Advanced Settings” menu of eStore correct?

Open Checkout in a New Window
