Hi – great plugin, many thanks!
I am trying to get the Paypal payment page to open in a new window with Fancy Redirection on Checkout enabled.
I need it to do this when clicking on the Buy Now with Paypal type button (Shopping Cart /Checkout), not Add to Cart or anything.
I saw this post from 4 years ago:
and applied both these edits but it didn’t work from me I’m afraid.
Apologies if this has been requested since then.
Regards
Gary Williams
May 20, 2014 at 2:34 am #63083adminKeymasterHi Gary, We have a new feature now that lets you do this easily. Check the following feature:
You can easily create a link using the “target” parameter and open that in a new tab/window.

Any ideas?
June 19, 2014 at 5:28 pm #63085wzpModerator- Did you install the eStore “Extra Shortcodes?”

- What do you have for the link?
- Do you have a shopping cart shortcode on the page that is specifed in the link?
June 20, 2014 at 12:33 am #63086adminKeymasterTry doing the following:
1) Create a page called “Checkout” (you can call it anything really). Lets assume the URL of this page is: yourdomain.com/checkout
2) Put the shopping cart shortcode [wp_eStore_cart] on that page.
3) Now, on your landing page, you will have a button/link that uses the following as the target URL (you will need to replace some parameters with actual values):
yourdomain.com/checkout/?wp_eStore_add_to_cart=1
March 9, 2018 at 5:01 pm #63087CodyMemberI was also hoping there would be an easy way to have the Paypal Checkout Button to open in a new window?
Is there a simple way to do this?
March 10, 2018 at 6:00 am #63088adminKeymasterI have added a new feature for this. So you can now go to the advanced settings of the plugin and enable the “Open Checkout in a New Window” option. I have sent you an update via email.
July 25, 2018 at 5:56 pm #63089SScottSpectatorI am looking for the “Open Checkout in a new Window” setting in Advanced Settings but am not finding it. Please tell where to find it.
July 26, 2018 at 3:04 am #63090adminKeymasterI just updated the eStore plugin for you so you should see this in the following interface.
WP eStore -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Open Checkout in a New Window
October 11, 2018 at 5:53 pm #63091defharoSpectatorHello, I have version 8.05 of WP estore and I do not see the option either:
WP eStore -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Open Checkout in a New Window.
Thanks
October 11, 2018 at 6:30 pm #63092wzpModeratorIt should definitely be there. Try loading a fresh new copy of the plugin:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
You searched for the following field in the “Advanced Settings” menu of eStore correct?
Open Checkout in a New Window
- Did you install the eStore “Extra Shortcodes?”
