Not Working-Automatically Shorten the Encrypted Download Link

Hi there,

I use Automatically Shorten the Encrypted Download Link as instructed here https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/wp-estore-automatically-shorten-the-encrypted-download-link#post-27862

Until one of the buyer complaining no download link was given. I tried to generate the link from “Admin Functions”. I then see no download link was generated. So I decided to change the php setting on eStore_advanced_configs.php. I changed this define(‘WP_ESTORE_AUTO_SHORTEN_DOWNLOAD_LINKS’, true);

To

define(‘WP_ESTORE_AUTO_SHORTEN_DOWNLOAD_LINKS’, false);

I then generated the download link from “Admin Functions”. The Encrypted Download Link was generated.

I like URL shorten setting but now I have to give my buyer “The Encrypted Download Link”. Please advice.

Please Note: I have two estore that use URL Shorten setting. I checked another store and found the same issue. I guess it has to do with Google Url Shortener.

Thank you.

I requested the auto update but it failed. Again I requested manually but no response from support team.

I think I key in reg. email address wrongly so. I only remember paypal ID

Unique Transaction ID [admin removed transaction ID]

Please help.

That transaction ID belongs to a different email address so the update was sent to that address (updates are always sent to the registered owner of the product).

I got the updated zip file. Deleted old plugin and install the updated one. Change the line of URL shorten as it was instructed.

Now Encrypted Download Link was disappeared and shorten URL was generated.

I have the same problem but i use the wp store on 2 domains. Installed the same version of wp store on both domains, on one domain the goo.gl code is generated but on the other domain is not generated. The domains are hosted on different hosting servers.

Just to be sure… please reload eStore on this other domain where it doesn’t work:

Then apply the config change to enable the shortener feature.

If it still doesn’t work then enable debug from eStore settings and share the content of the debug file so I can see where things are going wrong. This post will explain how to enable debug:
