I’m having a few more issues with the eMember plugin that are preventing me from going with my website and I would love some help! I have tried a fresh install but the problem still present.
I have been testing the registration with free memberships. Registration goes perfectly and both a emember and WP member are created for the individual. After logging in (through WordPress or custom form in my theme) I am logged into WordPress but not eMember. Is it impossible to use my own form that matches my theme? Is it required to use the eMember form in order to be properly logged in? (would love a fix for this in a future update if so)
Secondly, the ‘from’ in my emails are not adjusting to what I have set them as. All of the boxes on the Email Settings tab are ‘Safety Management HQ <noreply@safetymanagementhq.co.nz>’ and yet the emails my test accounts received were from ‘WordPress <WordPress <>>’.
Thirdly, major props if you can tell me why the post category Interviews is a member only section. I’ve gone through my settings and I just can’t figure it out.
Thanks in advance for any and all help!
November 11, 2012 at 9:07 pm #51265renata85MemberI should note that I did find this setting in the eMember settings page:
Automatically log into eMember
and it was already checked. This should not be a problem so now I’m unsure if the user is being logged in and logged right back out or never logged in to begin with.
Thanks!
November 11, 2012 at 11:12 pm #51266PeterMemberHi, It would be a good idea to load a fresh copy of the plugin first (if you haven’t done so already):

Regarding the login – there is a checkbox in the settings page which will enable your users to simultaneously log into eMember when they log into WordPress.
See the following:
“tell me why the post category Interviews is a member only section”
Go to the settings in the Membership Level->Manage Content Protection section.
Then click on the “Categories” link and check if there you have protected the category.
November 28, 2012 at 7:23 pm #51267renata85MemberHi Peter, thanks for the response! Do you have any instructions for a complete reinstall, including the settings? I did a fresh install as you subscribed when we moved to a new server. I’m looking to see if there’s an easy way to remove any and all instances of eMember from my database as well so I can start completely fresh. Thanks!
I have that checkbox checked and it still won’t work, this is why I want to do a fresh install completely and determine if this is the issue.
November 29, 2012 at 7:09 am #51268adminKeymasterI sent you an email to get access to the site so I can check it out.
