Hello,
We’ve recently started using the eStore plugin, and everything was very easy to set up and configuring the items was a breeze. Currently we have it to a point where a customer can add an item, and check out through paypal and pay. At that point, the system should be sending an email to the customer with the link to the digital download, and should redirect them back to our thank you page. These last two steps are not currently happening. Paypal correctly charges the customer, and there is a button on the paypal confirmation page which the customer can click to return to our thank you page. I was under the impression this redirect should happen automatically.
Currently the eStore plugin is in debug mode, but nothing is being written to the ipn debug file. To me this indicates that the PayPal ipn isn’t communicating correctly with the eStore plugin, but I’m not sure how to verify this.
Help!
Thanks!

I think that about covers it.
Thanks!
February 20, 2010 at 2:52 am #18180amin007Participant@RKJohnson2, The easiest way to identify the issue is to enable debug and run a test transaction. The following URL will help you:
Let me know how it goes.
February 20, 2010 at 1:24 pm #18181art-tisticMemberI’m having the same problem, I have run the debug and there is a failure in the code but it’s Greek to me….help!
February 20, 2010 at 1:37 pm #18182art-tisticMemberOk,I unchecked the verify paypal email and now it sends the email and redirects to the thank you page….now I get the “Requested File Could Not Be Found” error….
February 21, 2010 at 2:49 am #18183amin007ParticipantDid you verify and make sure there is no error in the URL that you entered in the “Digital Product URL” field? Do you get a download if you enter that URL directly in the address bar? if you don’t then it means that there is a typo in the URL and plugin won’t be able to download it either.
February 22, 2010 at 9:25 pm #18184art-tisticMemberI’ve been working through several problems as similar to above, first I couldn’t get the email with the download link (fixed by adding URL info on my Paypal acct.) but now both the “thank You’ page and the email link return the dreaded…Error 404 – Not Found
The following is a link generated from the Admin Functions,
http://aevideo.us/downloads/download.php?file=LBJlGOxbL1ZYrKe2paw%3D
it also yields the same results, please advise, I need to start producing/selling work and reduce the time spent tweaking…..
FYI, I know I’ll love this plugin once I get it working right. Thank You!!
OOPs, to answer the above question, if I enter the full URL in my browser the image loads. Then to download you would then have to right click and “save image as”…..will that be normal after I get the encrypted link problem fixed.
February 22, 2010 at 10:14 pm #18185RKJohnson2MemberWhen I go directly to the paypal.php url, with debug enabled, nothing is displayed. Additionally, I’ve verified that IPN is enabled on my paypal account, and the transactions are registering in the PayPayl IPN history.
Thanks for your suggestions so far!
February 22, 2010 at 10:36 pm #18186art-tisticMemberRK,
You entered your domain url in your paypal settings right? (done on the paypal end not eStore)
February 22, 2010 at 10:51 pm #18187IvyMemberHi RK, The following post should help you trouble shoot this. The plugin is designed to work with the default settings of paypal and you do not need to tell Paypal where to send the IPN as the plugin already does this. If you specify a IPN location that means your paypal can only be used for one site. The IPN failing is usually caused by something blocking the IPN from reaching your site. Please follow the steps in the post below and this should tell you where the problem is.

February 24, 2010 at 10:22 am #18190RKJohnson2MemberThe paypal settings, from what I can see, are either to sent IPN (with a site specified) or disable sending IPN.
That said, I have it specified and enabled, and I can see in the IPN history that they’re being sent.
When I browse directly to the paypal.php it doesn’t display anything even when the script is set to debug mode. The log file is still empty.
What could be blocking the IPN from paypal?

February 24, 2010 at 3:24 pm #18192RKJohnson2MemberI’ve already looked at that page 3 times… “When I browse directly to the paypal.php it doesn’t display anything even when the script is set to debug mode. The log file is still empty.”
Needless to say, it doesn’t solve my problem as according to that page, everything should be working.
