New affiliates are not getting a welcome message. The admin is getting the message. What do I need to tweak?

February 22, 2012 at 11:34 pm #42209PeterMemberHi,
Can you please enable debug from the WP Affiliate Settings page.
Then try your tests again.
Then share the …/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/wp_affiliate_debug.log file.
February 23, 2012 at 2:05 am #42210LWhitneyMemberThis is what I got.
Thank you!!!

February 23, 2012 at 4:07 am #42211PeterMemberLooking at your signup page i’ve noticed there are a few errors when I checked with firebug.
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token <
Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL
[redacted by moderator]/affiliate/?wp_affiliate_view=signup from frame with URL
I wonder if your theme or another plugin is causing a conflict with the plugin’s signup page.
Can you please try the following tests to see if this is the case:

February 23, 2012 at 3:03 pm #42212LWhitneyMemberIt was a plugin conflict. Thanks for the help

I was using the WP-Mail-SMTP plug in and did not have it configured properly. I did not have the correct server name and port entered. Check with the company that is hosting your email service. That is the server you want.
For example, we use Rackspace to host our site, but I manage all my email from my go daddy accounts. This plug in sends the emails from the go daddy account so that is the server I should have had in the plug in.
March 6, 2012 at 5:25 am #42214jastunna1987MemberModerator,
My current situation is similar as the new affiliates created are not receiving the Welcome email.
I do not have the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin installed. My server is on a Godaddy account; however, I’ve routed the DNS in such away that we are now able to use Google (gmail) and apps with our domains/emails.
I’m not sure how to run a debug log file, total newb here. Any and all help is appreciated.
Best regards
March 7, 2012 at 12:49 am #42215adminKeymasterPlease do the following:
1) Load a fresh build of the plugin:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
2) Go to the settings menu of the plugin and check the “Enable Debug” checkbox.
3) Perform a affiliate signup
4) Share the content of the “wp_affiliate_debug.log” file.
August 4, 2012 at 7:51 pm #42216LisaPMemberHi,
My Affiliates are not getting the Welcome Email and I am not getting a debug file. I have the debug option checked also.
Please help.
Thank you!
August 4, 2012 at 7:57 pm #42217LisaPMemberEverything sorted out. Had to get the web host to fix the email sending issue (the server was blocking the emails).
Thanks,
Lisa
