Hello there,
I am working on my client’s site. He will be selling video series, and I am trying to find the easiest most reliable way to be able to deliver the video series to his clients. I would like to use Amazon S3 services to accomplish this, I have already created the account with Amazon S3.
The file I want to upload to Amazon is a ZIP file containing all the videos, it’s large in size, 1.14GB – How can I upload this large file to Amazon Se service and how reliable it will be for clients to be able to download this large file to their machines?
Can someone guide me on what would be the easiest, safes most reliable way to accomplish all the above?
Sorry for all the questions, but I am new at using Amazon services and integrating it with you Estore plugin.
Thanks in advance,
Henry

By the way, I love your plugin!
Thanks,
Henry
April 26, 2011 at 7:47 pm #31700wzpModeratorThere are some reasons for breaking up large files into sections…
1. You don’t hold the customer’s bandwidth “hostage” during the several hours it takes to download extremely large files.
2. If the customer has a poor connection quality, then he has the option of redownloading just those sections that didn’t make it the first time.
If we are talking about simple video files, one can use a video editor to break the original into smaller sections. Preferably, you might be able to organize the breaks, so that the video is pentad in chapters or episodes, instead of random interruptions.

I had already compressed the videos on a more compact format for a smaller size and faster download speed.
Thanks again – you guys offer great support! Glad I purchased this plugin!
