Hi all,
We sell multiple online classes and each class is a membership level. Everything is working fine except if someone tries to purchase more than one class.
We do have Enable Secondary Membership checked. And I’m positive that I tested this when we setup the second class and it worked correctly.
But now, when someone purchases the second class, WP eMember doesn’t retain the first class they purchased.
So we had someone purchase 3 classes and when you went into WP eMember and looked at that member, only the last class (membership level) he purchased was checked.
I really thought this was working before. Anything that I should check to see what is happening?
Thanks,
Terry

Which version of eMember are you using?
Is your eMember integrated with eStore or are you using a simple PayPal button for your membership purchases?
December 7, 2011 at 12:59 am #39305tcnolan7MemberHi Peter,
Sorry, I meant to give you the version. We are on 6.1.4. We are simply using PayPal buttons.
If we go into the members record and check all the classes(levels), he can access everything fine. But when he purchased each class individually, it only retained the last class purchased.
I would think it must check the membership_level field and if there is something already there, then write to the more_membership_levels?
We haven’t made any major changes to the site so I’m not sure why it would have stopped working.

December 7, 2011 at 2:14 am #39306PeterMemberHi Terry,
Can you please install the newest version of eMember by following instructions in this link:
Oh and don’t worry – deleting your old copy and installing the new version will not wipe away your settings or data.
Then try a test again and let me know if you have an issue.
December 11, 2011 at 3:38 pm #39307tcnolan7MemberHi Peter, sorry for the delayed reply. Since they are in the middle of a sale, they don’t want to do the upgrade at this time.
So, I have to wait until early January to try that but will respond back to let you know if it is still an issue.

April 14, 2012 at 2:25 pm #39308tcnolan7MemberHi Peter, I just wanted to report back. We were finally able to upgrade the plugin and tested having users sign up for multiple levels (we consider them classes) and it worked fine.
Thank you,
Terry
July 5, 2017 at 1:42 am #39309Laura BanksMemberHi Team,
I have recently created a new membership level to let people have a 30 day free trial to my membership program.
I have had someone reach out + let me know that after she creates her login details + it redirects her to the members homepage (which is the URL I selected) it says she does not have permission to view the content. But when I check the membership everything is ticked for that level to be able to view. When I have done the process myself (a test signup) it all works. I also tried creating new login details for her but still the same problem. I am worried this may be happening for all new signups. Can I please get some assistance with this.
Thank you
