Hi!
This is just an information for people who come along the same problem I had to deal with.
It’s also related to this article:
All IS FINE WHEN A SECONDARY MEMBERSHIP LEVEL IS ADDED VIA A WOOCOMMERCE BUY (that’s my case)
When adding a member MANUALLY from the DASHBOARD (as I did for testing purpose) you get the membership expired message for your secondary membership protected content.
This is because when you manually add a secondary membership the Start Date will NOT be set. So be sure to set the right START DATE as well as the secondary membership level.
Perhaps in a future update this issue can be solved by adding automatically the date the member was added to his secondary level manually.
I hope I can save you the two hours it took me to find out about this…
