I’ve searched this site and read all the messages I could find that related to AOL email accounts – and I didn’t find a question or solution that was the same as what I’m experiencing. If anyone can assist me with this I’d be appreciative.
When my customers use the eshop squeeze page form to get a free product offering sent to them, the link delivered to them in their AOL email doesn’t work. At first I thought maybe it was a browser issue, but I’ve had several customers help me narrow this down to the link in the email rather than a browser issue. They can view the exact same link from a different email provider (ie Yahoo or gmail) and their link works just fine using the same browser. So my thought it that it seems the AOL mail system is somehow changing the links??
But I’ve had many AOL account users not complain about this issue. It may be that they’ve given up on getting the free product delivered. Or it could be they aren’t having an issue – which then leave me to believe it may be a setting within an AOL account users preferences that is causing the issue. So my troubleshooting continues.
In the mean time I wanted to query this group to see if anyone else is having similar things happen. Is anyone aware of why this may be happening and any knowledge on what (if anything) I can do at my end to help alleviate that?
Thank you!

What exactly happens when you click on the encrypted link?
Have you tried copying the link from the email body when it arrives in your AOL account and then pasting it manually into a browser to see if that works?
Regarding AOL I have seen other customers who have had slightly different issues with emails, eg,
