InactiveI’ve raised this before but I still have no real idea how to resolve it.
t-online.de is blocking my WPeStore links from being sent to their customers. This happens with both purchased products and squeeze form products. Customers of course complain to me that my process is broken because they haven’t received the links. WPeStore debug logs show everything as successfully delivered. All other email providers work fine.
Just FYI, if I go to t-online’s website and try to contact them, the contact hotlinks bring up a 404 error! So I’m stuck. My daily process involves checking the debug logs, pulling out all t-online.de customers and manually mailing them the links. Yuck!
The problem is I have no technical knowledge about this – that’s why I use a plugin. t-online’s help page has this information:
but most of that is Greek to me.
Can anyone help?

Moderator“Use readable URLs and avoid unnecessary coding.”
They may be complaining about the encrypted URL links. Try using the built-in URL shortener. When you use the URL shortener feature, the encrypted links will look short and clean.
Check the “Shorten Encrypted Download Links” field in the eStore settings to enable this feature.
This checkbox was recently added, so you should load a new copy of eStore plugin if you don’t see this new feature:

The only other thing I can think of is “guilt by association,” in that your hosting provider may have been blacklisted.

InactiveUnfortunately using the shortened links didn’t work either.
I’ll check wiith the hosting company, but it’s Hostgator and I’d be surprised if that’s a problem. Nonetheless I’ll check.
I guess I must be the only WPeStore customer whose links aren’t accepted by t-online.de or there would be many posts on this subject. That just makes it even stranger.
Thanks for trying to help.

ModeratorPerhaps they are subscribing to the Spamhaus blacklist. Several Hostgator sites are on the Spamhaus blacklist. What you can try is taking a copy of a previously rejected email, and resending it from another site. That should settle the blacklist question.
Note: Just because you have hosting from hostgator doesn’t mean your emails will be delivered. The reputation of your site (and your site’s IP Address) doesn’t really have anything to do with who the hosting provider is.
