Lightbox – Not Working

Hello Everyone,

I have a category up and running but when I click on the thumbnail the Lightbox effect does not work….I just get directed to a page with my image. I am using a full URL in the Thumbnail Image field and only have a couple of plugins installed (new install of WP)…and none of these are lightbox enabled.

Most of the time lightbox doesn’t work when it conflicts with another lightbox library that is already included in your site from the theme or some other plugins.

Can you please do this test to find out where the conflict is coming from:

Hi, I’ve the same issue.

I do that test, changing themes I have same problem, I try deactived all plugins (except eStore) but the issue is always..

Thanks for the suggestions… I tried switching to the Default WP Theme and the light box effect still didn’t work. So I then went and disabled all of the plugins except for eStore and the Extra Short Codes for eStore….and the lght box effect still doesn’t work. Am I doing something wrong? Here’s the url i’m putting in for the “Thumbnail Image URL” http://www.pumpkinlady.com/plop/wp-content/uploads/thumbs/imagename.jpg . It would be awesome to use this feature (one of the reasons I went with this cart).

As a very last resort…is it possible to disable the link on the thumbnail completely so that clicking on it does nothing…basically keeps them on the page? Here’s a category page for reference: http://pumpkinlady.com/plop/?page_id=218

Hi Jack,

How set You the thumbnail URL? The right set is: http://your-site/your-folders/your-image.jpg

Don’t use like this: /your-foders/your-image.jpg

I have the correct URL but the problem is still…

I am gonna have to take a look at your site to be able to troubleshoot this. I will send you an email for this.

“As a very last resort…is it possible to disable the link on the thumbnail completely so that clicking on it does nothing” – You can specify a URL in the “Thumbnail Image Link” field. This is where the visitor will get redirected to when they click on the thumbnail. Usually it is a good idea to make it point to the post or page that has more details on that product.

I unchecked the “Enable Fancy Redirection On Checkout” option from the settings and it’s working fine. I guess that other redirection was conflicting on this site (It is known to do that… this is why I have a note in the help text of that field).

I am also having this problem. I am using a test site for the customer. I first went to default theme, and still no lightbox effect, then removed all plugins except for eStore. Still no lightbox.

Next step, I did a fresh install (I am using 2.9.2 version)default theme with ONLY the eStore plugin activated and still no lightbox.

In settings, I have lightbox checked, redirect to fancy etc. Not checked, Enable smart thumbnail unchecked (tried with it checked).

My client wants that lightbox effect and will not accept click on thumbnail just to get the picture or to another page. I don’t understand why it will not work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

for my requirements I use shadowbox plugin, whit this plugin You can uncheck lightbox in eStore and use shadowbox (the thumbnail in eStore have rel=lightbox and works with shadowbox).

Important: Shadowbox plugin is free for no-commercial site…otherwise it is necessary to buy the licence
