jpeg file downloading as php file

Hi, I am using amazon to host my images for download and when I run a test to purchase the file, it goes through paypal fine and a link is sent through email which is great. However when I click on the link the entire 300 dpi image downloads on the browser and it gives me no option to save file. If I right click on the image and try to save file to my desktop, it defaults as a php file as opposed to jpg. Any ideas as to why this is happening? I have been trying to figure it out all day.
