I sell two main types of products… (1) PDF Downloads and (2) Mini-course video tutorials embedded on protected membership pages.
The mini-course video products are individual stand-alone memberships that sell for a single payment and come with life-time access. These mini-course videos are not downloadable.
Only the PDF Product Type is downloadable. These PDF products don’t require any sort of membership page like the mini-courses do. Fulfillment for the PDF products is done via secure download links.
My eStore pages will display both types of products on public facing pages, so that anyone can browse and shop, whether they are logged in or not.
If a new customer that has never purchased before, clicks on a BuyNow button to make a purchase, I need eMember to automatically set up an account for that person and then send them their login details via email.
And when an existing customer uses their “correct” email to make additional purchases, then those purchases will get automatically added to their existing account. In other words, existing customers only need one username and one password to access all of their purchases.
Then… logged-in customers must have access to a purchase history page which displays all the products they have purchased… both the mini-course membership products… as well as the PDF download products.
The customers must be able to click through to each of their mini-course membership products from their purchase history page… as well as download any PDF’s they have purchased from the purchase history page as well.
We have 100’s of individual products, and many of our customers own all of them. So… for usability, I would like all of the products listed at the product history page, to be displayed in some sort of a table with sort-able columns… (1) Purchase Date… (2) Product Title… (3) Product Type PDF vs Mini-Course.
Can all this be done?
April 28, 2016 at 7:06 am #73159adminKeymasterYou need to use the 3rd checkout and member registration flow explained in the following documentation:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/a-typical-member-registration-flow-96
That will allow you to setup a checkout flow (close to what you explained) using standard practices.
April 28, 2016 at 2:25 pm #73160pctdougMemberThank you for the response. The member registration flow information addresses the first part of my question, but I still need some feedback about the “purchase history” configuration.

I found this article which has information about the different purchase history shortcodes…

But… is it possible to display both the membership products and the downloadable products in a single table with sort-able columns?
I’m guessing that the “out-of-the-box” answer is “no” … but is this something that I would be able able hire someone to set up for me?
April 29, 2016 at 6:50 am #73161adminKeymasterThe default purchase history shortcode will show all the items purchased by that member (with download links if you want to).
You will definitely need a custom job to do what you suggested though (list in a table with sorting option and other stuff you mentioned).
You can use the following option to request a quote:
