International Characters

The name of my product have accented characters.

The shopping cart work very well, I have translated de fr.php and saved it in UTF-8.

But,

I have encoding problems for The name of the product…

here is an example:

La mission secr�te de Julia L�veill�e

The squares are black lozenges with an “?” inside.

What version of eStore are you using?

The character encoding issue for product names can happen if the products database is not created in UTF-8. Is your eStore products database created in UTF-8?

Hi, my database and tables are in utf8, using phpmyadmin I can see my product name as “Sourire à ..”, the paypal product name is OK but when emails are sending or the command order is displayed on my website “sourireaustress.com” on the post payment page using this short_code ([wp_eStore_display_transaction_result]) I can see:

“Sourire <?> …” instead of “Sourire à …”

You need to set UTF-8 format in your PayPal account. Do the following and that will fix the issue:
