Greetings,
I am integrating WP eStore and eMember on the same site.
I’ve watched every video and have set it up step by step.
There are a few issues I need help with please.
1. In the Page Setting sections, I have everything set up
properly with NO pages pointing to the home page YET the
login shows up on the home page. I don’t want this to happen.
I’ve even tried setting a static home page, but still the Login
form shows up…?
2. For my Buy Now product, the image shows up fine in the “Manage Products”
section, BUT when I use the Fancy Buy button, the image does not show up.

3. For my Gold Member paid content – when I click on that page when I am NOT signed in
– I get a promt to “JOIN TODAY” – HOWEVER, it takes them to the FREE member registration page???
WHEN I AM signed in as a FREE member the Gold Member page says
” Content is Restricted” – Shouldn’t it be inviting them to upgrade?
There is NO shortcode added to the page and I HAVE protected the content for
Gold level members.
Please advise.
Much thanks!

You have added the login widget to the sidebar so where ever the sidebar is showing everything in the sidebar is showing (this is how WordPress works). If you don’t want the login widget on the sidebar simply go to your Widgets menu and remove the eMember login widget and it won’t show up anymore.
2. Do you have “Smart Thumbnail” option enabled in the eStore settings menu? Try unchecking that option and see if the image shows up.
3. Looks like you have specified the “Join Us/Payment” page to be the registration page. Please read this article first that explains the difference between the “Join us” page and the “Registration” page:
Once you read the above please check this membership registration flow page to see which scenario you want to use:
If you get confused please post it here and I will try to explain more.

1. Please reread my question, it is fine in the sidebar, I do NOT want the login form to show up on the Homepage. It shows up even if I try to create a static page of something else. I do NOT want the login form on the home page. what should I do?
2. Awesome, unchecking the smart thumbnail fixed the images
3. I created a join-us page and included the free member level as you have listed on the demo page, I really like the setup you created.
However, when I click the JOIN button, it takes me to paypal. I did list the url for the “join button” to direct to the registration page, but it goes to paypal.
Do I set it up OTHER than as a “fancy product”???
4. I still have the question which is listed above. I’ll repost here:

September 29, 2010 at 4:45 am #24875marketingwizardMemberUpdate – I figured out #4 above – the Gold Member level, thank you.
In the “pages” setting, I needed to adjust where they go to join.
I still have questions #1 and #3 above.
THANK YOU!!!!
I SO appreciate the support you offer!!!!!

You are here: Home / Login
The eMember plugin itself won’t show the login page anywhere on your blog unless you have embedded the shortcode on a page that shows the login page and is displaying that page.
3. If you are trying to do what I have done in the demo then specify the “registration page” URL in the “Button Link” field of that product and use the following shortcode:
[wp_eStore_fancy:product_id:1:end]
1 is the product ID here.
September 29, 2010 at 2:07 pm #24877marketingwizardMemberYEAH! Piece by piece it’s coming together.
Your customer support ROCKS by the way!
Ok, for #3 – my mistake was that I had a “buy” button versus a “product” button as you have described above – it works perfectly now.
For the “home page issue” – YES I see that the home page shows up as /login
BUT even after I DELETE the Login page, the home page is still showing up as LOGIN.
I even did the following, but it still shows up as the LOGIN page as my home page.
– I deleted the login page and then deleted it permanently
– I changed the login url to another page on the site
– I took OUT any url from the “login” page assignment
– I assigned a different static page as the default home page
NO MATTER what I do, the site is trying to pull “LOGIN” as the home page.
Please advise!
Much thanks,

September 30, 2010 at 2:33 am #24878amin007ParticipantThat is a little weird and I can’t explain it
I will send you an email to get access to your site so I can take a closer look.

October 1, 2010 at 5:05 am #24880amin007ParticipantI had a quick look on your site. I have disabled the eMember plugin on your site and when I click on the “Home” link it still tries to go a page named “Login”. To me it looks like you have specified an auto redirect to that page in your .htaccess file.
This proves that the problem is not coming from eMember plugin as the plugin is inactive. Please keep the plugin inactive and resolve the issue with your WordPress/server setup then activate the plugin when your “Home” button link is working properly. Keep the suspected plugins inactive so you can isolate the issue and resolve it.
Let me know what you find out.
October 5, 2010 at 5:03 am #24881amin007ParticipantTurned out that a “Redirection” plugin went bad.
