Hello there,
A client of mine has complained that gallery image colors get dimmed when the image is resized and that the use of specific effects causes jpg artifacts in the images. In my tests, this is true.
I know you can’t probably do a lot about the dimming (this is probably GD, right?), but it would be nice to have a setting in each gallery or image, to specify jpg compression. This would give us the ability to improve the quality when a 75 is not adequate.
Alternatively, specifying the output format (png instead of jpg) for gallery images would make things even better as there would not be compression loss.
Could your issue be similar to this one?

Hi Peter,
Thank you for your answer.
About the dimming issue, I tell the client to check it out. This won’t do anything for the artifacts though.
Edit: To what color space are photos converted by WP Photo Seller?
Hi Peter,
At least according to IrfanView, the images which demonstrate the problem are in sRGB color space.
