I’ve just updated my plugins and now there is a notice at the top of my admin screen – You have the WP Super Cache plugin active. Please make sure to follow these instructions to make it work with the WP eStore plugin. You can ignore this message if you have already applied the recommended changes.
I’ve made the necessary changes but it still shows up on every page in the admin, takes up space and is quite annoying. How do I remove this notice?
It won’t show that warning if you applied the necessary changes correctly.
1) Which instruction have you followed?
2) What change have you made to WP Super cache settings for this?
1. I followed these instructions
2. I changed the settings as explained in the instructions above.
I have the same problem (I have another thread re:wp supercache trouble), anyway, I see not one but TWO notices (see here http://bit.ly/NEjbsb)
I can not follow the instructions because if I check late init with ‘Use mod_rewrite to serve cache files’ also checked, my website becomes unvisitable (error 500).
I want to use mode_rewrite because my site is much faster this way. Is there a way to removed the notices, estore works anyway (even without following the instructions).
Okay, I will add an option to turn off this message in the plugin.
I have updated both the eStore and the affiliate plugins to show an option to hide the *super cache warning* message. Please get new builds of these plugins and you should be good to go:
Thanks – the update works fine – the message has now disappeared.
Terrific thanks!
“It won’t show that warning if you applied the necessary changes correctly. ” – Wrong, it shows up even after the correct changes have been made.
Thanks for adding the ability to turn this message off.
