The “Number of Refunds” does not indicate the number of items that was refunded. It indicates the number of transactions that was refunded. If the transaction was a shopping cart checkout then it could have had 3 items in it but the refund was for one transaction.
When PayPal sends the refund IPN it does not send the “Transaction Type”. Without the transaction type the plugin cannot decode the number of items in the IPN to retrieve the product IDs and record it. This is why it just records the full refund amount for the transaction. All the refund details are also available in your PayPal account if you need it for record keeping.
You can do some custom coding to decipher the refund IPN and record the product IDs associated with that transaction.
Is there a way to process refunds that are over 60 days old?
I would like to provide a 365 day money back guarantee, and was hoping that it was possible to structure this without processing each transaction manually.
Can the settings in paypal be changed to accommodate a longer refund period?
Thanks
Unfortunately PayPal does not allow you to issue refunds after 90 days you would need to manually send refund. You would need to contact PayPal for anymore information on this and if there is anything you can do to change this.
Hi, After a Manual Payment, how can I issue a refund? So far I went to “Order Management” and change it to “Refunded”, but it doesn’t show in eStare Stats or in Affiliates stats.
(I enabled the 2 options: reverse and Automatic Customer Record Removal)
Thank you!
Yes…
Please upgrade the order management addon now (to v2.0) and it should reverse the commission and update the sale data stats for manual checkout.
Thank you very much.
Now it’s working…
