Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eMember › How do I troubleshoot the compact widget not opening a pop-up + other thing?
Hi
I have tried different methods for the compact widget
The “take me to a login page” works fine from the settings
BUT
if I choose the pop-up window method when pressing the login part of the text nothing happens
Aditionally there is a spelling mistake on the text “Logout” in the same widget
The translation in swedish says “Loogga ut” but should be saying “Logga ut”
From where is this text generated?
Is this a emember translation done wrong by me or from the wordpress translation?
EDIT:
I noticed that the pop-up window opens below thecurrent view of the page I have before me
Is there some setting to make the pop-up open just where the mouse is or where I just clicked?
Thanks
The popups use JavaScript. Please check your site for possible JavaScript issues:

To correct your copy of the text messages, please follow these directions:
How to customize various text/messages displayed by the plugin
I don’t know anything about a caching plugin, must be someone else.
But the css tweaking to get the registration not to display was a successful tweak.
But the same for the compact widget would be nice to fix
Thanks,
Dominicus
The compact widget popup issue would be coming from a JavaScript or CSS error (coming from another plugin or theme) on your site or there is some kind of a conflict. The first thing do is the following so you can see which item is introducing the error:
Then you can contact the developer of that item (the source of the issue) to fix the errors. Once the errors are gone from your site, our plugin’s output will be as expected.
