MemberHi, I will have several products in my store. I’m using Buy Now buttons. With the affiliate platform, if an affiliate promotes one of my products, but the person he drove to my site then buys a different product, how do I ensure that the affiliate still gets commission no matter what product is purchased? (like what Amazon does – if I recommend a product, but someone buys a different one and goes to Amazon through my link, I (the affiiate) still get credit even though it’s a different product that that person chose to buy).

KeymasterThis happens by default. Once a visitor lands on your site following an affiliate link, any purchase from them (that are linked to the affiliate platform) will generate commission.

if folks sign up for one free product and their email is also stored in icontact campaign list(wp addon), and later they buy a product and their email address is also stored in a 2nd icontact campaign list – the icontact has nothing to do with wp affiliate remembering the customer and which affiliate they belong? Right? Thanks

Correct.
Crediting of affiliates is governed by the presence of the affiliate platform cookie.
- If the cookie does not exist at the time of a sale, either because the cookie expired or was deliberately deleted (by the buyer), nobody gets credit.
- If a buyer gets multiple referrals to your site, the affiliate that gets the commission is determined by the way Affiliate Platform is configured:

- Recently a new feature was added that would “lock” an affilitate to a buyer, irregardless of whether or not the cookie was later deleted or expired.
