Is there a way to include the exact coupon code used, in the purchase notification mail?
for our website this is very important.

March 12, 2012 at 11:24 pm #42973adminKeymasterThere is no email tag for the coupon code to be included in the notification email but the coupon code gets recorded in the “Manage Customers” menu with the sale. You (the admin) can go to the manage customers menu and see which customer used which coupon code.
March 26, 2012 at 7:04 am #42974jbillhMemberHi Key Master,
I had the same question and would really like that tag available if possible. I use multiple coupon codes and really want to see who is using what just by looking at the notification email. It’s kind of a hassle to go back to the site, login, get to the store and find them etc.
Any chance I could talk you into it? ; – )
Thanks!
All the Best,
Bill
March 26, 2012 at 11:37 pm #42975adminKeymasterI will add an email tag for the coupon code.

The coupon code email tag has been added to the plugin. You can now use the following email tag to display the used coupon code in the notification email. You can get a new build of the plugin from here:

April 20, 2012 at 7:07 pm #42979jbillhMemberHi Keymaster,
Hey, this is what I added to my notification email and I did update the program but I still don’t get info about what coupon people used. Did I do something wrong?
Dear Seller
This mail is to notify you of a product sale.
Product Name: {product_name}
Product ID: {product_id}
{product_details}
The sale was made to
{first_name} {last_name}
({payer_email})
{coupon_code}
Thanks
Do you see any issues with this or is there something more I need to do?
Thanks Much,
Bill
April 21, 2012 at 1:28 am #42980IvyMember1. Did you put this information in the seller email?
2. Did you update the plugin after the coupon code email tag was added?
If you need an update please see the following link: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
April 30, 2012 at 5:54 am #42981jbillhMemberHi Ivy,
Yep, I did both of those things in that order.
Does the code need to be typed a little differently? Is my syntax wrong? I don’t need to update the shortcodes thingy too do I?
Should I try updating it again?
Thanks,
Bill
April 30, 2012 at 11:31 pm #42982adminKeymasterYour syntax is correct. Just to verify… when the notification email comes through, what do you see in the place of where you put the “{coupon_code}” tag?
– Empty/blank space?
– That tag itself?
May 2, 2012 at 6:56 am #42983jbillhMemberHi Folks,
This is pasted from an actual sale notification email (customer’s name and email address omitted):
Dear Seller
This mail is to notify you of a product sale.
Product Name: Fluoride & Arsenic Reduction Elements (10 Elm. = (12) Total),
Product ID: 13,
Fluoride & Arsenic Reduction Elements (10 Elm. = (12) Total) x 1 – $318.60 (USD)
The sale was made to
“customer name”
(@netzero.net)
{coupon_code}
Thanks
May 2, 2012 at 11:15 pm #42984adminKeymasterThank you. That basically means the plugin is not even recognizing that this email tag exists (this usually happens when you are using a slightly older version that doesn’t have the implementation of that tag). You already confirmed that you updated the plugin so I will need to take look at your site to see what is going on (I have sent you a private email).
