Hello,
I’ve recently bought eStore, and I have a question about that.
I want to set subscriptions for each product. There is no problem for that, you can see an example I’ve done here http://www.237medias.com/
In the example, the donwloadable magazine is weekly, and I want to set quaterly or annually subscriptions (I need this not to loose to much fees regarding the amount paid on Paypal).
So, how to handle this (even if i need some others plugins I will buy).
Normally, I upload a product, and a client buying it get an encrypted link to do that.
Now, if he subscribe to get the xx next products, how can this be done ?
Please, help me step by step, I’m french-speaking.
Regards,
Nino

August 28, 2011 at 4:41 pm #35909NinoMemberHello,
I’ve put the Subscription button, that was not a problem.
I change it into a “Add to cart” button because I don’t know how to handle subscriptions.
My files are daily, so subscribers should receive it daily, but the subscription is for 3 months.
I can’t match the two actions, I don’t know how to do this.
August 28, 2011 at 11:40 pm #35910adminKeymasterAre you trying to deliver lots of file (one each day) by using one subscription product?
August 30, 2011 at 6:22 pm #35911NinoMemberIndeed, that is my comprehension of “subscription”, and clients will understand it like it, don’t they ?
Ans yes, that is kind of what I’m trying to do.
Clients “subscribe” like for 1m onth, and they received one file per day during the month.
August 31, 2011 at 1:46 am #35912adminKeymasterNope, thats not how subscription works.
What you are trying to do is called drip feed. You will need a membership plugin for that. So a user becomes a member of your site and then the membership plugin drips the content to the member (1 day at a time in your case).
August 31, 2011 at 9:09 pm #35913NinoMemberThe plugin eMember sold here can do that ?
September 1, 2011 at 2:38 am #35914adminKeymasterLots of membership plugin offers drip content features (any of those will do).
eMember can do the following:
July 18, 2013 at 10:38 pm #35915GHWilsonMemberWhen I setup a 12 month, monthly subscription in my WP eStore and a buyer subscribes and pays using Paypal, does the buyer have to authorize the payment the first time? (I assume the answer is yes). Going forward into months 2-12, is the payment processed automatically, (meaning the buyer does NOT have to authorize payments 2-12) or does the buyer have to authorize each month’s payment each month?
Thanks for the help.

Yes, they will need to authorize the first payment of the recurring subscription. PayPal also shows the
terms
on the payment page. For example:$6.99 USD for each month, for 12 installments
Once they agree to the terms and make the payments the recurring amount will be automatically charged from months 2-12.
